Wagrain is a very popular place, especially among families with children. Here you can visit several different ski areas, with a wonderful variation and where there are possibilities for both the 4-year-old who is on skis for the first time and the experienced mother who don't need any more practise. Everyone will find their piste in Salzburger Sportwelt.
A family friendly ski area
The skiing in Wagrain is divided on two mountains, with Grafenberg on one side of the valley and Flachau on the other side. The two mountains are interconnected with the spectacular G-Link, which runs straight across the valley with stunning views while easily combining the skiing and making it an unforgettable experience. On both mountains you will find slopes well suited for children and families.
It's not at all a problem if you are traveling with others who have different skiing skills, because one can go on the blue piste and another can go on the red piste and still end up in the same place, both in the middle and at the bottom. Thus, you are together throughout the day.
In the heart of Ski Amadé

Ski safari to Zauchensee
One of the nearby areas is the World Cup ski area Zauchensee. Zauchensee is an optimal destination to make a day-trip to. You get here by first taking the bus for a short while to Kleinarl, where you go on skis to Flachauwinkl before taking the lift up and you are now in Zauchensee. Use the day in Zauchensee before you go back the same way you got here.
